I'm John, and I am the current Vice President for the Erie County Area Safety Council. I am the Director of Education for Lakeside Chautauqua and have been with the organization since 2014.

I have Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Toledo. Previously, for four years I was the Manager of Human Resources for the Sears & Roebuck retail store in Sandusky, Oh and then for the past seven years I was the Director of Human Resources for Lakeside Chautauqua before transitioning to the Director of Education role in Spring of 2021. Currently he is a member of the Erie County Area Safety Council since 2018.

 

The time-period that I find the most interesting in American history is from the 1880’s through the 1930’s and I have a deep love of the Great Lakes and its history. My wife Emily and I met in high school, married in 2007 and our interests have rubbed off on each other. She enjoys hunting for rock specimens, shells and beach glass and it is not uncommon for you to find us scouring farm fields or beaches. We enjoy boating in our 1972 24ft. Fiberglass Lyman which my father ordered new and which has stayed in the family ever since. We also both enjoy exploring small rivers and lakes with our 1951 13 ft. Lyman which we came across at Kelley’s Island a few years ago. I find relaxation in traveling to the islands, going for a swim or a cruise around Sandusky Bay.
